YouTube (MV) Guide

YouTube can raise ATEEZ's popularity and bring many new fans to the fandom. Music Video views are needed for music show wins, Billboard charting, and year end awards. Following these rules will help ensure that all your views count toward ATEEZ's videos.

YouTube Streaming Guidelines

  • Follow the 1 device per 1 account per 1 IP address ( WiFi ) rule

  • Log into your account. Use premium (sign up for a free trial!)

  • Turn autoplay off & pause any ad-blocking software

  • Search the video manually

  • Watch ads for at least 30 seconds before skipping

  • Keep your volume on. It can be <50% if needed, but don't mute the YouTube player

  • Let the quality be what it needs to be (can be under 720p!)

  • Like, comment, subscribe and share the video link everywhere

  • Watch at least 15 min. of filler videos before the focus video again

  • Include filler content from different channels

  • Rewatch the focus video every 15 minutes

  • Keep engaging with the video, leave another unique comment - remember not to spam!

  • Cycle through the same set of videos as a filler

  • Use playlists or put the videos into queues (unless necessary)

  • Only watch 30 seconds of the video

  • Close the tab without clicking on another video

  • Watch at a higher speed

  • Use VPN ( unless YouTube is blocked in your country )

  • Stop streaming when views 'freeze'

  • Mute the video (it's okay to mute a laptop or PC!)

  • Mute your phone, but you can lower the volume <50%

  • Clear your cache or history

  • Abuse the report function - report only malicious comments

  • Watch 1 video, leave YT for 15 min, & watch the same video again

Manual Streaming

Manual streaming on YouTube can be easy if you plan out what videos to watch. Although fanbases will provide manual streaming lists, you can still make your own.

Guidelines

  • You must have at least 15 mins of videos before watching the Title Track MV again

  • Filler videos must be from a few different YouTube channels

  • Do NOT repeat the same playlist immediately after you finish with it – switch to a different playlist!

What should I use as fillers?

  • Any of your favorite videos!

  • Suggestions: ATEEZ MVs, performances, dance practices, logbooks, Wanteez episodes, interviews – pick from a variety of channels!

How do I stream?

  • Search for each video in the list manually

  • Follow YouTube streaming guidelines

Notes

  • Streaming in the background or a minimized tab will still be counted as a view, but it will not add engagement or help with trending and search ranking.

  • You can pause or repeat parts of the video as that is general human behavior – just don’t do it often.

  • Emojis can still be used in the comments as those are general reactions just do not spam the same messages.

  • YouTube and YouTube Music are not the same thing. YouTube Music will count as digital streams (and still contribute to charts), but those streams are not MV views. Check out our YouTube Music guide.
