Radio Requests
Radio airplay is one component for charting on Hot 100. Even though streams are a much more important factor in Hot 100 charting than in the past and sales are easier to control, radio play is still a worthy factor to pursue. Unlike with streaming and direct purchasing, international ATINY can also participate in online and email radio requesting projects!
There are a significant number of radio stations that will contribute for Billboard charting, but it's impossible to list everything here. This list focuses on online requests since those have the most flexibility associated with them (aka, you do not need to be doing the requesting while a live DJ is on). If you have questions about whether a particular station would count for Billboard charts, tag or DM us on any social media, and we can help you out!
Process
For each station, scroll to the contact form at the bottom of the page.
Enter a name and email
Choose who to send the message to (priority order: make a request > music comment/question > programming / programming questions / program director)
Write a brief message and submit!
What should my message include?
Include the name of the song (In Your Fantasy!), ATEEZ, and a reason why they should play the song! Don't use the exact same message every day (and don't copy our example message exactly) – tweak it a little bit to make sure your message doesn't get marked as spam.
Hi! I'd like to request you play In Your Fantasy by ATEEZ on [STATION NAME]! In Your Fantasy is a bold and sultry summer song that perfectly captures the essence of early 2000s pop music, and your listeners will totally love it. I hope to hear it on your station soon!
For this radio request project, we're adding on a new form of requests – iheart app talkbacks! These are super simple to complete.
Navigate to the station in the iheart app (the talkback links below will open in your phone browser, then you should be able to open the app from there!).
Tap the red microphone button just below the station name/info (next to the "play" button).
Record your request!
If you want to try recording your request again, tap "try again" – else, click "send."
After submitting your request, iheart will give you a prompt to enter your information, but you don't have to – just tap "next time"!
What should my message include?
Include the name of the song (In Your Fantasy!), ATEEZ, and a reason why they should play the song! Since we're targeting tour cities with this, mention that ATEEZ will be/is/just was in that city for a show. You can likely submit multiple requests, but make sure you don't spam!

Remember to tweak your message so it doesn't get flagged as spam or discounted for being identical to others!
How were the dates chosen?
For each city, we will be submitting requests the day before, day of, and day after the concert! Feel free to request on these stations before/after those timeframes – those are just the times we're focusing on each city to help get a larger volume of requests.

Let's get some reps in requesting "underpressure!" before it's time to start requesting Lemon Drop! For each of these stations, choose "Make A Request" from the "Send To" dropdown
Typically, we would make sure that the radio stations selected were well-targeted to the song we're requesting. For underpressure!, that means we'd look for R&B stations. However, in the interest of time and admins getting a little more sleep before comeback, we're using a couple of the stations researched for Lemon Drop for ATINY to get some practice in.
