Spotify Guide

Like with all streaming services, Spotify has an algorithm they use to filter streams to ensure that (for the most part) only "real" streams are counted. It's widely said that there is only a certain number of streams per account per day that will count toward Spotify charts, with additional streams from that account still contributing to overall stream numbers and external charts. We do not know the exact number of streams that will survive filtering, but the consensus is that only about 10 streams per account will contribute to Spotify's charts each day.

Filtered streams – the streams that will count for Spotify charts (such as Spotify Global 200)

Unfiltered streams – the streams that will add to the counter / overall streams listed on the track

Global 200 Strategy

If you want to participate on a more "intense" level, consider having multiple Spotify accounts and swapping accounts after about 10 plays of the title track from a variety of sources to increase filtered streams.

Do not include any songs from the Global 200 Chart in your playlists.

Follow all international streaming guidelines – we need as many streams as possible to be correct!

Important!!!

The same IP address can use multiple Spotify accounts, but all accounts streaming the same song / playlist simultaneously can be seen as bot behavior. Limit to 6 accounts per IP (6 is the presumed limit because that is the number of accounts in a Spotify family plan).

You cannot stream multiple accounts simultaneously on one device. If you are using multiple accounts at the same time, they must be used on different devices and play different playlists.

Spotify Playlisting

ATEEZ songs being added to curated Spotify playlists will raise our streaming numbers and help additional people discover the song(s)! there are a few factors that help us get on these playlists and then stay on them.

Pre-save the album: Pre-saving the album shows there's excitement and demand for it! Higher pre-saves can help us get on more editorial playlists – and it can also help us rank on Spotify's new pre-saves chart.

Listen to ATEEZ songs on editorial playlists and share links to both the song and entire playlist. Doing both of these can help keep the song(s) in the playlist longer and potentially get it added to other editorial playlists!

Tip: Mix in listening to the title track/ATEEZ song on editorial playlists to diversify your streaming/what types of places you're streaming from! If the title track is added to multiple editorial playlists, consider spreading out when you listen to those. For example, you could listen to it on one playlist, stream from a personal playlist or join Stationhead, listen to the title track on a different editorial playlist, listen to the whole album, etc. Remember that "randomness" and diversity is key to making us seem more like general public or "real" listeners and help reduce filtering!

Getting a Premium Account

Streams from a premium account will count more toward many of our charting goals (premium streams are weighted heavier for Billboard charts, for example). There are some options to get a temporary premium account for free or reduced cost!

FREE options

Free trial: Sign up for a 1-month free trial for any premium plan (Student, Individual, Duo, Family). If you've already used a free trial, you just need a new email for a new free trial!

Check Streaming Premium Trials for links to trials!

Sponsored account: Find a sponsor or borrow an account from a fanbase!

REDUCED COST options

Student Plan: Must verify student status to be eligible.

Family Plan: Split the cost with ATINY moots (max 6 people). Family plans do require accounts joining to verify the address associated with the primary account, so make sure you're teaming up with people you trust if you choose to do this!

Passive Streaming

Active streaming (using a playlist and interacting with it occasionally as you listen) is very important, and we recommend everyone use this method to help reduce potential filtering. However, it's unreasonable to ask or expect anyone to be glued to devices constantly. It's okay and good to take breaks throughout the day! If you have to leave your device and want to still contribute some streams, you have options:

STATIONHEAD

Hang out with ATINY on Stationhead! The ATINY channel is always an easy place to jump in and listen – or you can join a fanbase station directly. 9024fm is also compiling a list of ATINY Stationhead hosts to give more options for people to diversify how and where they're streaming!

Streaming on Stationhead requires a premium Spotify or Apple Music account. Check out our Stationhead guide for information on how to get started with listening on Stationhead.

QUEUE MULTIPLE PLAYLISTS

Queue up a few different playlists that follow playlist guidelines. You can use playlists you create yourself or those provided by fanbases. When creating your own playlists, you must create them on PC – you can't add duplicate songs on mobile.
