Spotify Report – Ice on My Teeth
ATINY, congratulations on another successful comeback! We met a lot of our goals – and we have some to still keep fighting toward.
Unfortunately, one of the goals that we did not meet was debuting on Spotify Global 200, but we made very important progress in chasing that goal!
We know that just looking at the streaming numbers themselves can seem very concerning because they have been pretty steadily decreasing across the comeback. And when you combine that with the fact that there were some unfortunate glitches with Spotify and Stationhead, it naturally caused some panic amongst the fandom and presumption that Stationhead was ruining our chances at debuting on this chart or that ATINY were abnormally stopping streaming. However, we can confidently say that neither of these are true.
Week 1 Spotify DAILY streams

When you compare our streams for Ice on My Teeth with previous title tracks, it’s easy to see that there’s a clear trend with how streaming across a comeback goes – we start out strong (sometimes higher than others – and those can be explained as well!), and there’s a steady decrease in streams for the first three days. ATEEZ streams always tend to be lower on weekends, so that tracks. Our streams jump back higher on Monday before decreasing again.
But this part of the data is where it gets interesting. For both BOUNCY and CRAZY FORM, streams consistently decreased, with BOUNCY having a small jump in streams again on Day 7. Our streaming practices and consistency have improved as can be seen with the trend lines for WORK and ICE ON MY TEETH. Starting on Day 5, our numbers started increasing again with IOMT increasing more rapidly than WORK. IOMT did have a lower number for first week streams than WORK (IOMT – 5,800,363, WORK – 6,108,504. Difference: 308,141 streams), but IOMT also started out with fewer streams on Day 1 (IOMT – 953,712; WORK – 1,204,838. Difference: 251,126 streams). By the end of the week, IOMT only “lost” about 57,000 more streams than WORK did.
Week 1 takeaway
Our streaming trend for IOMT is STRONGER than previous comebacks. While following the normal ebbs and flows of streams across a comeback, our streams per day INCREASED during the last two days of the tracking week (which corresponds with the end of the EU and US charts tracking and the push for streams to help with those rankings).
Week 2 Spotify DAILY streams

Week 2 starts off with the same pattern as Week 1 – a decrease over the first three days (remember that ATEEZ streams tend to be lower over the weekends!). IOMT was tracking closely to WORK for Day 8 and Day 9 – but our streams STABILIZED, and we had a smaller decrease to finish out our drop to our Day 10 numbers. Streams jumped up again on Day 11 to have our highest ever number of streams on a Day 11. Our streams decreased across the rest of the week with a steeper drop than other comebacks, but this is where it’s important to remember the context. All of these stream counts are global, but major events or holidays in one country will definitely still have an effect. A major US holiday fell on Day 14, and it is highly likely that many UStinys were not streaming at the same capacity in the days directly before/on that holiday.
Week 2 takeaway
Our streaming trend for IOMT was more varied than other comebacks – we had our highest Day 11 streams yet, but we also had a steeper drop at the end of the week. This drop, though, can be at least partially explained by known variables (the holiday).
Week 3 Spotify DAILY streams

You know the drill by now – we decreased across the first three days (weekends, amirite) before our daily streams started climbing again. IOMT has continued to do better than WORK with a smaller decrease across the first three days and a bigger jump on Day 18. This jump on Day 18 corresponded with IOMT entering the Spotify Global (and various local) Daily Viral charts, so we know how that jump happened.
You may be asking “wtf is going on with that Day 19 for CRAZY FORM?” and believe me, we asked the same question. That extreme jump corresponds with when CRAZY FORM debuted on the Spotify Daily Viral charts, but it had an instantaneous drop back down to just about where it was on Day 20 before jumping up again (and then instantly down again on Day 22, not shown on this chart). However, IOMT is having a slower decline from its Daily Viral jump, so it’s exciting to see that stability there!
Week 3 takeaway
Our streaming trend for IOMT was pretty consistent with other comebacks, but IOMT had a steadier end to the week than others. Our stability is improving, and we have a higher daily number of streams for IOMT than we did for WORK!
Spotify TOTAL streams – first three weeks

We’re going to pivot for a moment from DAILY stream numbers to talk about the TOTAL streams. Even considering these numbers, our growth is impressive! Our consistency in streaming beyond the first week is improving. WORK and IOMT had a difference of about 250,000 streams on debut. That increased to about 310,000 at the end of the first week, but we’ve been steadily chipping away at that gap since then – the end of week 2 gap was only about 200,000 streams, and the end of week 3 gap has been reduced again to about 90k streams.
Conclusions
Even though there has been much anxiety over our streaming numbers and concern that we’re doing poorly, our consistency and stability have been steadily improving across comebacks, and we’re confident that we will keep moving in this direction!
The next hurdle to tackle is increasing our daily streams. All of the numbers we’ve discussed so far here are our UNFILTERED streams (the streams that are displayed on the counter for individual tracks), and Spotify Global 200 as well as other charts like BB200 and Hot100 use FILTERED streams. We have a challenge ahead of us – but we have not been taught to dream small. We have some new ideas and strategies that we are currently researching and testing to help us finally reach that Spotify Global 200 debut and keep improving our position on other charts!
